"Better than average!"

9:00 - Yes!  My instructor called my flying "better than average" today and said "We might may a pilot out of you yet!"  Please wait whilst I pat myself on the back.

Pat...Pat...Pat...

I entered the flight office and was conversing with another VFR (Visual Flight Rules) student when my instructor emerged.  He informed me that would would be "working on steep turns and emergency procedures" today.  Gulp.  The other student replied "I hope you have your barf bag."  GULP!

However, despite my bout of nausea last flight (I have come to the conclusion it was due to the heat), I had NOT nauseau or motion sickness this flight...thank you...and actually enjoyed our 360 degree 30, 45 and 60 degree banks...to the left AND right.

Following our turns, my instructor asked me "What do you suppose you do if the plane catches on fire?"  Duh...I said "Parachute!"  Turns out, one of the emergency procedures would be a steep descent and to land immediately.  The steep descent was FANTASTIC; it is...up until now...my favorite maneuver!

So there, I did it!  AND "better than average..."

P.S.  I LANDED today.
